No doubt that North Korean troops are in Ukraine - political strategist

Political strategist Taras Zahorodniy says that the DPRK military can already work in Ukraine as specialists in fortifications and be part of the missile maintenance teams

He expressed this opinion on Espreso TV.

"I have no doubt that North Korean troops are on Ukrainian territory. Most likely, they are specialists in fortifications, as they are considered to be highly skilled in this area. Israel suspects that it was North Korea that helped construct tunnels in Gaza and Lebanon for Hezbollah, given that nearly the entire country of North Korea is built with such tunnels to avoid strikes from the United States and South Korea," said the political strategist.

He added that it is also possible that North Korean military personnel may be part of the crews operating the missiles.

"As for the West's reaction, North Korean missiles and weapons have already appeared, yet no significant action has been taken. For instance, today, October 21, the head of the Pentagon, Lloyd Austin, is visiting Kyiv, and he seriously claims that the United States has not yet seen North Korean soldiers in Russia. This suggests they will not acknowledge their presence until after the U.S. elections, despite this being a clear failure of the policy led by Sullivan, Burns, and Biden to prevent the war from spreading to other countries. It only proves that World War III has already begun, and the current U.S. administration is pretending that nothing is happening," concluded Taras Zagorodniy.

Military cooperation between Russia and North Korea

The South Korean Defense Minister warned on October 8 that North Korea may be preparing to send troops to Ukraine in support of Russia.

At a press conference in Brussels on October 17, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Russia is planning to train 10,000 North Korean soldiers for deployment to the war in Ukraine.

Kyrylo Budanov, head of Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence, reported that around 11,000 North Korean infantrymen are already stationed in eastern Russia, undergoing training to participate in combat operations in Ukraine. He noted that a first unit of 2,600 soldiers is set to move to Kursk, where Ukraine has established a foothold.

Ukraine later provided NATO with intelligence on North Korean military involvement in the war, requesting further data from alliance members.

On October 19, it was revealed that North Korea has sent 1,500 special forces to Russian territory. However, U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin stated that he could not yet confirm North Korea’s deployment of troops to assist Russia in the war against Ukraine.
