The Air Force reported the threat of Russian drones in the Kyiv region at 7:42 p.m.
Around 8 p.m., a Russian drone approached Kyiv from the north. The Air Force warned of possible air defense operations in the capital.
At the same time, the Kyiv Regional Military Administration reported that air defense was working on Russian targets over the region. At 8:29 p.m., Kyiv Mayor Vitaly Klitschko reported that air defense was working in Pushcha-Vodytsia.
As of 9:50 p.m., there are reports of drones in Kyiv and Chernihiv regions. There is no confirmation of the type of UAV that attacked the capital.
At 1:56 a.m., Suspilne reported that explosions had occurred in Kyiv.
“Air defense is working in Kyiv. Stay in shelters until the air raid is over,” wrote the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Serhiy Popko.
At 3:41 a.m., Russian drones were spotted in the Kyiv region, the Kyiv Regional Military Administration informed.
“Air defense is operating in the region. Under no circumstances should you take photos or videos of our defense forces, the downing of air targets or their crash,” the statement said.
At first, the Kyiv City Military Administration reported that, according to preliminary information, an attack by Russian attack drones in the Desnianskyi district of Kyiv an apartment building was damaged.
As of 7 a.m., window glazing and interior decoration were damaged on three floors of the building.
However, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko clarified that a small piece of a UAV was found on the territory of a kindergarten in the Desnianskyi district of the city after the Russian attack. A window in the building was broken.
According to him, there were no other damages or destructions.
Ruslan Kravchenko, the head of the Kyiv regional military administration, said that the falling debris from downed Russian targets caused a fire in a farmhouse.
At the same time, there were no hits to critical or residential infrastructure. There were no casualties.
Consequences in Mykolaiv
Vitaliy Kim, head of Mykolaiv regional power company, said that the Russians attacked the energy infrastructure at night, which resulted in power outages.
“Power engineers have already supplied power to most consumers, and the work continues. There are no casualties,” he added.
