Radio Svoboda reports, citing the statement released by New Zealand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on June 19.

The sanctions apply to eight legal entities and ten individuals. The list includes organizations and citizens from North Korea, Iran, and Belarus that support Russia’s military actions, as well as Russian companies involved in the production of drones and other weapons.

Additionally, the sanctions target two Belarusian enterprises: Vitebsk-based OJSC Legmash Plant and its director Vladislav Pavlenko, and Minsk-based Unmanned Helicopters Design Bureau along with its founder Vladimir Chudakov.

The New Zealand government also imposed sanctions on 27 vessels that are part of Russia’s shadow fleet.

  • On April 22, Prime Minister Christopher Luxon stated that New Zealand will continue to provide training for Ukrainian military personnel for more than another year.
