Polish Foreign Ministry spokesman Pawel Wronski told Ukrinform in a commentary.
“Negotiations are ongoing, and it is positive that during the recent discussion of the EU Foreign Affairs Council, many ministers spoke and put pressure on the Hungarian Foreign Minister, pointing out that the issues of bilateral relations, the resolution of which Ukraine declares, cannot block the discussion on the first cluster, the opening of which should occur only when Ukraine fulfills objective criteria,” Wronski said.
The Polish Foreign Ministry spokesman added that Warsaw is working to overcome Hungary's resistance. He emphasized that this case is a very important issue for Poland.
- As previously reported, Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha appealed to his counterparts in the European Union to pressure Hungary to start accession talks with Ukraine.
