NATO to arm Ukraine despite outcome of Trump-Putin meeting, Rutte says 

He said this in an interview with CBS News, emphasizing the Alliance's commitment to "making sure that Ukraine has what it needs to stay in the fight and be in the best possible position."

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said coordinated weapons supplies from NATO members to Kyiv will continue regardless of the outcome of the upcoming Putin–Trump summit in Alaska.

“Ukraine will have to be — and will be — involved” in any discussions on territories, security guarantees, and peace talks, he stressed.

Rutte added that Russia’s occupation of Ukrainian territories can never be legally recognized. However, he noted that negotiations may address “how to deal with the factual situation that the Russians are holding, at this moment, Ukrainian territory.”
