NATO сhief rejects Poland's idea to shoot down Russian missiles over Ukraine
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has dismissed Poland's suggestion to intercept Russian missiles and drones flying towards Ukraine

In an interview on national television, Stoltenberg emphasized that NATO allies have bolstered Ukraine's air defense capabilities but reiterated NATO's stance of not directly engaging in the war.
"NATO's policy remains unchanged - we will not take part in this conflict. We will not become the part of it," stated the Secretary General.
- On July 8, the security agreement between Ukraine and Poland included the possibility of intercepting missiles flying towards Poland. The text referred to "bilateral dialogue with other partners aimed at studying the rationale and feasibility of potential interception of missiles in Ukrainian airspace."
- Earlier, Polish Foreign Minister Sikorski said Warsaw was looking into Kyiv's idea to shoot down Russian missiles in Ukrainian airspace.
