Tagesschau reports.
"This spring and summer, they (Russian troops - ed.) tried to launch an offensive again - but so far they have had only minor success," Stoltenberg said.
According to Stoltenberg, NATO has no indication or reason to believe that Russia has the capabilities or strength to make "major breakthroughs." At the same time, the Alliance believes that Russia will continue to increase pressure on Ukraine and launch air strikes against Ukraine.
"But we see that the Ukrainians were able to hold the front line. They were able to continue inflicting heavy losses on the Russian forces - both along the front line and with strikes deep into Russian territory," Stoltenberg added.
- Jens Stoltenberg said that NATO was discussing Ukraine's accession before the summit and suggested a "good agreement."
