Most Poles believe their troops should consider intercepting Russian missiles - poll

The majority of Polish citizens (63%) believe that the country should start negotiations with Ukraine and NATO to shoot down Russian missiles in the border regions of Ukraine.

This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted by the IBRiS Centre for the Polish edition of Rzeczpospolita.

When asked whether Poland should negotiate with NATO and Ukraine to ensure air defense of Ukraine's border territory in order to be able to shoot down Russian missiles flying towards Poland, 37.6% of respondents said "definitely yes" and 31.7% said "rather yes".

Only 17.6% of respondents shared the opposite opinion. In particular, 9.1% answered "definitely not" and 8.5% answered "rather not". 13.1% have not decided on the matter.

The survey was conducted on January 26-27 by telephone (CATI) on a total of 1,070 respondents.
