Mixed reviews on fortifications in Sumy region, says local journalist
The new leadership of the Sumy Regional Military Administration acknowledges that there are many issues regarding the fortifications, which are being addressed as quickly as possible
This was stated by journalist Aliona Yatsyna of Kordon.Mediа on the Espreso channel.
"With all due respect to the citizens and ordinary people, what they say about the fortifications is not something worth listening to. We communicate with the military, those who directly occupy these fortification structures, those who use them, those who move along these roads, which have recently been actively covered with nets. The feedback on the existing fortifications is very, very mixed," she said.
Yatsyna added that people were particularly struck by the video released by Russia showing so-called dragon's teeth piled up at the entrance to Yunakivka.

"They are not just misaligned – it's a pile and a mess. Who is responsible for this – the question remains open. I recently spoke with the Deputy Head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration. He said there are many questions about the fortifications, and they are trying to resolve them as quickly as possible. We recently had a change in the regional leadership – let's hope there will be constructive cooperation between the authorities and the military, so that at least the offensive does not progress further," the journalist noted.
- Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Russia failed to implement its offensive plan in the Sumy region, thanks to the actions of Ukrainian units that fully carried out their combat tasks.
