This is reported by BFMTV, citing a source in French diplomatic circles.
It is noted that on February 26, the President of Ukraine received a message from the American administration asking him not to come to the United States to meet with Donald Trump.
"Volodymyr Zelensky called Emmanuel Macron, who, in turn, contacted Donald Trump, asking him to receive his colleague and adding that he would vouch for him. In the end, Donald Trump agreed, announcing on Wednesday that he would receive the Ukrainian leader at the White House," the publication writes.
- On February 26, Trump announced that Zelenskyy would visit the White House on Friday, February 28, to sign a framework agreement on natural resources. The President of Ukraine confirmed the meeting.
