Lithuania calls for sanctions against Iran over supply of ballistic missiles to Russia

Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis has called for sanctions against Iran because the country supplies ballistic missiles to Russia

He wrote about this on the social network X.

"The obvious answer would be sanctions on export to Iran of all drone and missile components, and the speedy delivery of the missiles that Ukraine has been asking for," Landsbergis said.

The Lithuanian Foreign Minister stressed that Iran's actions confirm that the country is not afraid of the world's reaction.

"Iran supplying ballistic missiles to Russia is yet another sign that there is no fear of our reaction, no desire for diplomacy and no intention of stopping escalation. This should be the final nail in the coffin of appeasement, if the lessons of WWII aren't enough already," he wrote.
