Military expert debunks Russia’s claim of civilian target in Ukraine’s strike on Lgov
Military expert Dmytro Sniehyrov says Ukrainian forces have successfully struck the Lgov College in the Kursk region, a key training base for UAV operators and storage site for drones
He shared his opinions with Espreso TV.
“The strike was aimed at an exclusively legitimate military target. We are talking about the Lgov College, a training base for UAV operators. The college was not only used for training UAV operators, but also for logistics warehouses where UAVs were stored,” Sniehyrov explained.
According to the military expert, the administration of the Kursk region announced in July 2024 that a UAV operator course was planned to be opened at Lgov College. The head of Rosaviatsia also made a pompous statement, claiming that there were plans to purchase drones.
“The attempts by the Russian side to claim that the strike targeted civilian infrastructure are completely untrue. The strike was carried out by a HIMARS MLRS with a tactical and technical range of up to 70 kilometers. This means that the Ukrainian Defense Forces are successfully eliminating Russian forces in the Kursk region using high-precision Western weapons,” Sniehyrov emphasized.
