Kurakhove, Pokrovsk sectors endure intense Russian assaults

Since the start of November 3, Russian forces have attacked Ukrainian forces' positions 110 times. The most intense fighting is unfolding in the Kurakhove and Pokrovsk areas, which have seen over half the attacks

Ukraine’s General Staff reported the information.

“The border regions of Sumy and Chernihiv continue to face Russian artillery fire, impacting settlements like Khrinivka, Hrabovske, Volfyne, Volodymyrivka, Zhuravka, Mkhy, Obody, Luhivka, Zaliznyi Mist, Pavlivka, Khotiivka, and Chuikivka. Bratenytsia, Zhuravka, Novenke, and Basivka were also hit by Russian airstrikes,” the statement said.

Additionally, Russia conducted 17 strikes on its own territory, and 25 guided aerial bombs have already been dropped in the Kursk region.

Frontline update

In the Kharkiv sector, Russian forces attempted offensive actions near Vovchansk twice but were pushed back.

In the Kupyansk sector, Russia attacked Ukrainian positions eleven times. Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled assaults near Holubivka, Synkivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Kolisnykivka, Berestove, Zahryzove, Kruhliakivka, Vyshneve, and Pershotravneve.

In the Lyman sector, Russian units continued their attacks around Hrekivka, Terny, and Dibrova. Since the start of the day, Ukrainian troops have defended against seven out of nine Russian attacks in this area. Fighting is ongoing, and air strikes were launched in the Serebrianka forestry area.

So far, there have been four Russian attacks in the Toretsk sector, targeting areas near Toretsk and Shcherbynivka. Ukrainian defenders are putting up a strong fight and have stopped two of these attacks. Russia's aircraft bombed the regions of Druzhba, Toretsk, and Petrivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Russia has launched 19 attacks on Ukrainian positions today in the areas of Myroliubivka, Lysivka, Promin, Sukhyi Yar, Novohrodivka, and Vyshneve. Ukrainian forces have successfully repelled these attacks, particularly focusing their efforts near Promin and Vyshneve.

The Kurakhove sector is the most intense today, with 54 combat clashes reported. Russian troops are trying to advance near Vovchenka, Horoshne, and Antonivka, with eight battles still ongoing.

In the Vremivka sector, Russia attacked Ukrainian positions near Trudove and Maksymivka nine times, with two clashes still happening.

Russia also launched air strikes in the Orikhiv sector, targeting Yurkivka, Novodanylivka, and Mala Tokmachka, dropping eight guided aerial bombs.

No significant changes have been noted in other areas, according to the General Staff.

  • Since the start of its full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the occupying Russian forces sustained over 699,000 military losses.
