Kremlin weighs odds of May meeting between Trump and Putin

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that as of mid-May, Vladimir Putin has no scheduled visits to the Middle East, which had been considered a possible location for a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump

He made the comments to RIA Novosti.

According to Peskov, a meeting between Putin and Trump is “necessary and should be properly prepared” and would require “efforts at various levels.”

“So far, there are no concrete plans,” the Kremlin spokesman added.

He also noted that Putin’s current schedule does not include any Middle East trips in mid-May.
