'Kill zone' steadily growing in Pokrovsk — Ukrainian officer
In Pokrovsk, the Russian army continues to exert pressure with small groups, utilizing armored and lightly armored vehicles. Most attacks are neutralized, but logistics and movement remain the biggest problem for the Ukrainian Defense Forces
Major Volodymyr Nazarenko, deputy commander of the 4th Battalion Freedom Force, stated this on Espreso TV.
"Currently, the situation is very difficult, and it didn't start yesterday, the day before yesterday, or even a month ago. The enemy's tactics are the same - maximum use of all available resources. In most cases, it's not their successes that are growing, but their losses. Unfortunately, the enemy is ready for these losses, not only in manpower but also in equipment, ammunition, and cannons," Nazarenko noted.
According to the deputy commander, in Pokrovsk, the Russian army continues to press with small groups, sometimes using armored and lightly armored vehicles. This equipment is covered with shields and grilles. These rectangular "boxes" slowly crawl, trying to advance.
"In most cases, these enemy forces are detected, neutralized, and destroyed. Groups that still manage to penetrate through artillery fire and UAVs are dealt with in small arms skirmishes, in direct contact. The biggest problem is logistics and movement. The so-called kill zone is constantly expanding. Due to the chosen tempo, Russia suffers huge losses, as in most cases, their groups don't even reach their accumulation points," Nazarenko emphasized.
- As of November 3, the Defense Forces have halted the Russian advance in northern Pokrovsk, and a city clearing operation is underway. In Myrnohrad, the defense has been reinforced with additional forces, and work to eliminate the invaders continues.
