It will take 2 years to restore Zaporizhzhia NPP after it is returned to Ukrainian control
Zaporizhzhya City Council Deputy Dmytro Kyrylchuk believes that it will take at least two years to restore the Zaporizhzhia NPP after the Russian forces have been there
He expressed this opinion on the air of Espreso.
"It should be taken into account that even according to information from specialists, especially former employees of the plant, we are talking about the critical facility, which has been seized by these abnormal creatures (Russians, ed.). Their actions are awful, starting from provocation to the outright creation of a militarized zone on the territory of the power units. According to these specialists, even just to bring it (Zaporizhzhia NPP, ed.) into order, purely preventive measures, is a very complex mechanism. This is an extremely complex system. It will take at least two years, if we return the Zaporizhzhia NPP to the control of Ukraine, it will not work for at least another two years. Everyone should understand what this very presence of these monkeys with grenades on the territory of this important critical facility is worth," he said.
Dmytro Kyrylchuk stressed that the actions of the Russians on the territory of the facility are unacceptable. But he noted that the Russians will disrupt the rotation of IAEA representatives more than once, despite the fact that they themselves first give the green light.
- On February 5, it was reported that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) postponed the rotation of the mission at the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP due to the lack of security guarantees from Russia.
