The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reported the information.
According to a Ukrainian military officer who works in a mobile air defense unit, Russian drones used to be very slow, had difficulties with maneuvering, and could fly only at low altitudes.
However, Russia has now enhanced the drones, enabling them to fly faster and at higher altitudes.
“The Ukrainian soldier noted that Ukrainian mobile fire groups have also improved their equipment and tactics in order to continue shooting down Shahed drones,” the statement said.
On October 5, the Russian troops shot down their own Russian-made drone, which had been under development for at least 10 years. UK intelligence called it another failure.
