Russia shells Donetsk region 3,829 times over past day, causing multiple casualties
Over the past day, the Russian occupation army shelled Donetsk region 3,829 times, resulting in one civilian death and injuries to three others
During the telethon on January 22, the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin, reported:
"Over the past day alone, the occupying Russian forces shelled the Donetsk region 3,829 times — this is an unprecedented number of attacks. Thirty-three guided aerial bombs were dropped on residential neighborhoods in the region. People are evacuating slowly. Out of the 300,000 people who remain in the region, about 40,000 are living in settlements near the front lines," he said.
Additionally, according to Filashkin, 161 settlements in the region remain without gas, water, or electricity.
The official urged residents of Donetsk to evacuate.
Earlier that day, Vadym Filashkin reported that one person was killed, and another was injured in Pokrovsk due to Russian attacks on January 21.
Filashkin also informed about two injured individuals in Bilytske.
