Russian 'meat' assaults halt in Pokrovsk direction — Ukrainian military
Rustam (Legion), the chief sergeant with the 47th Brigade's unmanned systems battalion, says that the Russian forces in the Pokrovsk direction have either run out of armored vehicles or are being redirected elsewhere
He made this statement on Espreso TV.
"Weather conditions almost do not affect the course of hostilities. The enemy tries to advance and sometimes succeeds, but with huge losses. No matter how strong the wind is, whether it is raining or it's hot. In May, the Russians tried en masse to enter with armored vehicles. Then our unit destroyed more than 60 units of armored vehicles in our narrow direction. After that, there are almost no armored vehicles - it can be up to five units per week, which is insignificant in our direction. This has been observed over the past month," Rustam said.
According to him, the Russians have either run out of armored vehicles in the Pokrovsk direction or are being redirected elsewhere.
"They began to use more 'meat' assaults. However, in the last two days, even the 'meat' assaults have stopped a little. Only occasionally do we meet small groups that try to break through, but they are usually destroyed," Rustam emphasized.
- According to the General Staff, on July 16, the most intense fighting was in the Pokrovsk direction, while the Russians also increased activity in the Kurakhove direction.
