Ukrainian Special Operations Forces capture Russian marines in Kursk region
On November 27, the Day of the Russian Marine Corps, Ukrainian Special Operations Forces (SOF) captured several dozen Russian marines

The SOF shared the news on their social media pages, releasing a video to accompany the announcement.
"During a special operation in the Kursk direction, [Ukrainian] Special Operations Forces soldiers dealt significant manpower losses to the enemy. Moreover, several dozen servicemen from Russia's 810th Marine Brigade were captured. That’s how Russian marines should really celebrate their professional holiday," the statement read.
In the video released by the SOF, the captured Russians admit they surrendered on their holiday, thanking their captors for sparing their lives and treating them decently.
- Just recently, the Third Separate Assault Brigade of Ukraine’s Armed Forces cleared the settlement of Kopanky in Kharkiv region, which had been breached by Russian forces. Ukrainian soldiers also captured servicemen from Russia’s 1st Tank Army during the operation.
