Russia drops 196 chemical munitions on Ukrainian positions in month of August – Tavria troop grouping
Russian forces continue to deploy chemical munitions in the operational zone where the Tavria troop grouping is active

According to Dmytro Lykhoviy, spokesperson for the Tavria troop grouping, Russian troops used 190 munitions over the past day, 4 of which contained chemical agents.
In August alone, they dropped a total of 196 chemical munitions.
Lykhoviy highlighted that Russian forces are increasingly using chlorpicrin, an irritant, to weaken Ukrainian defenses and force a retreat.
- Previously, it was reported that Russian forces deploy chemical munitions daily in the Tavria operational area.
