Hungary will participate in Peace Summit on Ukraine
Hungary has announced that it will participate in the Global Peace Summit in Switzerland on June 15-16. The country will be represented by Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó
Hirado.hu reported the information.
“The reason for our participation is that we are absolutely on the side of peace, and therefore we participate in all events where peace is on the agenda,” said Péter Szijjártó.
At the same time, he spoke about Russia's absence at the Peace Summit. According to the Minister, real results can be expected if all parties sit down at the negotiating table.
"We call for an immediate ceasefire and the start of peace talks, we pray for this. We believe that we can develop faster and smoother in a peaceful environment, and life in Europe can be peaceful again if we finally put peace at the center of attention of international politics,” the minister added.

On June 2, Szijjártó said that his country had not yet decided whether to participate in the Global Peace Summit in Switzerland, saying that it was meaningless if both sides of the conflict were not present.
