​​Heavy fighting in Kurakhove sector, with intense clashes near Illinka, Novoselydivka - General Staff

Frontline situation

In the Kharkiv sector, Russian forces launched four assaults on Ukrainian positions, with fighting ongoing near Vovchansk. They also carried out airstrikes with guided aerial bombs on Lyptsi and near Vilcha.

In the Kupyansk sector, since the start of the day, Russian troops have been attacking near Kolisnykivka, Zahryzove, Kruhliakivka, and Lozova, with five firefights currently taking place.

In the Lyman sector, Russia attacked twice near Novomykhailivka and Torske and carried out airstrikes on Terny.

In the Toretsk sector, Russian forces, supported by bomber aircraft, attempted to push Ukrainian units out of their positions five times near Toretsk and Shcherbynivka, and the battle is still ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk sector, the Russian army launched 24 assault actions in the areas of Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Hryhorivka, Pustynka, and Novooleksiivka. Ukrainian forces have successfully repelled 13 of these attacks, with 9 battles still in progress.

In the Kurakhove sector, Russian forces launched 41 attacks near Illinka, Novoselydivka, Voznesenka, Novodmytrivka, Dalne, and Antonivka. Ukrainian troops repelled 17 of these attacks, with heavy fighting continuing near Illinka and Novoselydivka. Russian aircraft carried out strikes on Kurakhove, Dalne, and Andriivka, and dropped 10 guided aerial bombs.

In the Vremivkа sector, the Russian army attempted to storm Ukrainian positions 9 times near Rivnopole, Novodarivka, and Trudove. Six firefights are ongoing, and Russian bombers and attack aircraft struck Temyrivka, Zelene Pole, Velyka Novosilka, and Rozdolne.

In the Orikhiv sector, Russian aircraft were active, continuing to shell local areas and Ukrainian positions. Zaporizhzhia, Kamianske, Mala Tokmachka, and Stepnohirsk were attacked.

Ukrainian forces repelled two enemy attacks in the Prydniprovskyi sector, with another firefight still in progress.

In Russia’s Kursk region, Ukrainian forces repelled 7 Russian attacks, and 7 firefights are ongoing. The Russian army launched 8 airstrikes, dropping 11 guided bombs on the territory.

In other sectors, the situation remains largely unchanged.

• In the past 24 hours, the Russian army lost 1,950 soldiers in the war in Ukraine. Ukrainian Defense Forces also destroyed 23 Russian tanks and 81 armored vehicles.
