German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius announced this at the opening of the 29th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (UDCG) in the 'Ramstein' format, held on Monday, July 21, and co-chaired by the United Kingdom and Germany, according to a European Pravda correspondent.

The U.S. and Germany agreed to deliver five Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine in the near future.

“During my trip to Washington last week, I reached an agreement with Pete Hegseth that Germany will contribute to the prompt delivery of five urgently needed Patriot systems to Ukraine,” Pistorius said.

He added that over the “next few days,” coordination with partners will take place “in a spirit of mutual trust” to implement the delivery mechanism.

“Germany will provide additional air defense systems and much-needed ammunition,” the German defense minister stated.
