Ukraine's General Staff reports intense frontline situation: 154 clashes in one day
Yesterday, 154 combat clashes occurred at the front. Russian forces launched their most intense attacks on Ukrainian Defense positions in the Pokrovsk, Lyman, and Kurakhove sectors
This was reported in the daily briefing from Ukraine’s General Staff as of 08:00 on September 25.
They emphasized that the situation at the front remains extremely difficult. Russia, capitalizing on its manpower and equipment advantages, continues its relentless assaults on Ukrainian positions. Ukrainian defenders are holding the line, inflicting the maximum possible damage on Russian troops.
The report details that Russian forces launched three missile strikes using six missiles, alongside 75 airstrikes, which included the deployment of 123 guided aerial bombs. Additionally, they carried out nearly 5,000 attacks, 178 of which came from MLRS, and deployed around 1,700 kamikaze drones.
Russian airstrikes targeted 38 settlements across Ukraine.
In response, Ukrainian aviation, missile units, and artillery forces targeted two Russian command points, 20 areas of troop concentrations, three air defense systems, and one artillery unit over the past day.
Frontline situation
Kharkiv direction: Russian troops attempted to storm the settlement of Vovchansk three times. In addition, Russian aircraft struck residential areas of Kharkiv with seven anti-aircraft missiles, damaging civilian infrastructure and injuring local populations.
Kupyansk direction: There were 12 attacks by Russian troops. Ukrainian forces repelled Russian assaults near Synkivka, Andriivka, Kruhlyakivka, Pischane, Stelmakhivka, and Lozova.
Lyman direction: Russian forces attacked 22 times. They attempted to break through near Druzhelyubivka, Cherneshchyna, Hrekivka, Nevske, Torske, Makiivka, Novosadove, and Zarichne.
Siversk direction: Ukrainian defenders repelled three Russian assaults near Verkhnokamyanske and Bilohorivka.
Kramatorsk direction: Russian troops launched 10 attacks in the Kalynivka, Mynkivka, Stupochky, and Bila Hora areas.
Toretsk direction: Russian forces, supported by airstrikes, carried out 12 attacks toward Toretsk, Shcherbynivka, and New York.
Pokrovsk direction: Ukrainian defenders halted 25 Russian offensives near Vozdvyzhenka, Novotoretske, Krasnyi Yar, Novohrodivka, Mykolaivka, Marynivka, and Zelene Pole. The most concentrated Russian attacks occurred near Novotoretske.
Kurakhove direction: Ukrainian forces repelled 20 attacks. Russian troops focused their heaviest efforts near Heorhiivka and Tsukuryne, while also launching strikes near Dalne, Kostiantynivka, Katerynivka, and Zhelanne Druhe.
Vremivka direction: Russian forces launched eight assaults on Ukrainian positions near Vuhledar, Katerynivka, Vodiane, and Pavlivka, utilizing bomber aircraft to strike Ukrainian defenses.
Huliaipole direction: Russian forces shelled Bilohirya.
Kherson direction: Russian troops unsuccessfully attempted to dislodge Ukrainian Defense units from their positions three times.
In the Kursk region, Russian aviation continues to devastate its own villages and cities. Over the past day, Russian aircraft carried out 13 airstrikes using 19 anti-aircraft missiles on Russian territory.
No signs of enemy offensive groups forming have been observed along the Belarusian border.
Along the border with the Chernihiv and Sumy regions, Russian forces are heavily using artillery and aviation to attack Ukrainian settlements.
