The French philosopher and writer Bernard-Henri Levy arrived in Ukraine and visited the positions of the 13th Brigade of the National Guard "Charter", where Ukrainian writer Serhiy Zhadan serves

The French philosopher and writer Bernard-Henri Levy, who has been travelling around Ukraine documenting Russia's crimes and the resistance of Ukrainians since the first days of Russia's full-scale war, has arrived at the positions of the Ukrainian military again. This time, he met with the soldiers of the 13th Operational Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine "Charter". It is here that Ukrainian writer, public figure and musician of the band Zhadan and the Dogs, Serhiy Zhadan, has been serving since the spring of 2024.
"Bernard-Henri Levy, a philosopher, writer and director, a man who does a lot to ensure that the world does not forget about Ukraine, knows the realities and never tires of recording the crimes of the Russians in this war, visited the Charter. He visited the positions, talked to the soldiers about the future defense concept of our country, about the East and the West, about war and peace," Zhadan wrote.
He also shared a photo of the two men together. Both men posed in bulletproof vests.
"Friend, thank you for your help, we are waiting to see you again and hope to see a film about our brigade," the writer added.
Bernard-Henri Levy has made three documentaries in Ukraine about the full-scale Russian invasion - Why Ukraine, Glory to Ukraine and With Ukraine in My Heart. He screened these films at the UN and the US Congress to persuade them not to stop supporting Ukraine.
