Ukrainian-based Freedom of Russia Legion is ready to exchange Tetkino for Melitopol
Commenting on Vladimir Putin's statement, the Ukraine-based paramilitary unit Freedom of Russia Legion said they were ready to start negotiations with the presidential administration to exchange Tetkino for Melitopol
Alexei Baranovsky, a volunteer of the Ukraine-based Russian armed group Freedom of Russia Legion, said this on Espreso TV.
"In fact, Putin's idea is not so bad. We may even accept his offer and exchange Tetkino for Melitopol. I think it will be a good deal. We are ready to start negotiations with the presidential administration to make this exchange, it is a fairly workable option," he said.
Baranovsky wondered whether representatives of the FSB or the Russian GUR would dare to get in touch to discuss such issues.
"So far, they have not contacted us. I think they are waiting for a signal from Moscow. After all, they only do what they are ordered to do from above. In general, border guards are also part of the FSB. So far, FSB representatives and border guards have been performing only those functions that are dictated by their instinct for self-preservation. But when they receive commands from Moscow, maybe then they will start some negotiations," he said.
