Forced evacuation of five settlements to be announced in Kharkiv region due to potential Russian attacks
Due to Russian actions near Borova, families with children are being forcibly evacuated from the Kharkiv region, a regional council member announced
Kharkiv Regional Council member Halyna Kuts reported this on Espreso.
"We have a hot spot - Borova. The occupiers have been trying to reach Kupyansk-Vuzlovyi for over a year. Recently, they attempted to enter from the western side, near Vovchansk, and now they’re pushing from the south, from Borova. This town is located along the Oskil River, south of Kupyansk. Last week, a forced evacuation of children was announced towards Kupyansk. Some families have already left, but 22 children remain. We are still working with their parents," she said.
Russia is continuously shelling Borova. They aim to take over the city of Kupyansk-Vuzlovyi for its logistics value, Kuts says.
"The Russians want to advance to Borova. Their goal for over a year has been Kupyansk-Vuzlovyi, the logistics hub. If they capture it, they’ll have a reliable rear, where all resources can be delivered by rail," she explained.
- The head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, Oleh Syniehubov, stated that on June 23, Russian troops hit Kharkiv for the first time with a modified KAB-250 bomb equipped with a GPS module.
