Ukrainian forces capture Chinese fighter serving with Russian army near Toretsk

What is known about the captured Chinese

According to the project, Wang Wu served in the 102nd Regiment of the 150th Motorized Rifle Division and had the call sign Sabre.

Like many other Russian mercenaries, he was promised service in the rear. However, after a short training, he was immediately sent to the front line, along with the others seen in the video.

According to Wang Wu, he arrived in Russia by plane, spent several days in Moscow, and then flew to Ufa. There, he waited for more than a month for the results of his medical examination at the military commissariat. Later, he and other Chinese soldiers were sent to Rostov, where they underwent training for a week. After that, they were transported to Ukraine, where they were trained again for another week. Then their phones, passports and bank cards were taken away and they were sent to the front line.

According to the project, only four of the 25 recruits of the 102nd Wang Wu Regiment were Russian citizens.

"Most of those in the video (the regiment's recruits - ed.) are either dead or seriously injured. Almost all of them did not survive the first suicidal assault, including Wang Wu's friend, Yang Jinsheng. The captured Chinese saw their deaths with his own eyes," the statement reads.

Ukrane's 82nd Air Assault Brigade captured the soldier

The Telegram channel Nikolaevsky Vanyok reported that the Chinese national was captured by soldiers of the 82nd Separate Air Assault Brigade. The invader was taken prisoner near Toretsk in the Donetsk region.

Chinese citizens in the Russian army
