Claims of drone attack on Putin's helicopter are false, Ukraine says
Russians spread fake information that the helicopter of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin was attacked by drones
The Center for Strategic Communications and Information Security reported the information.
Earlier, on Russia TV, Air Defense Division Commander Yuri Dashkin claimed that Putin's helicopter had allegedly come under attack by the Ukrainian army during his trip to the Kursk region.
In fact, Putin visited Kursk on May 20, his first trip to the region after the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the territory had been completely liberated from the Ukrainian armed forces. At the same time, this is the first time that “Putin's breakthrough through a swarm of drones on a helicopter” has been reported.
It is noted that pro-Kremlin media claimed that the dictator was traveling through the region exclusively by car. All federal TV channels showed footage of the motorcade. In addition, these news outlets did not report on a UAV attack that would have been consistent with Dashkin's claims.
