Babel, Ukrainska Pravda, Suspilne, and Hromadske reported the information, citing sources in the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.

The explosion took place near military unit 6912, specifically in the parking lot close to the unit, where two explosive devices went off.

The blasts occurred precisely at the moment when Russian soldiers were arriving for duty: there are killed and wounded.

After the explosions, Russian security services blocked mobile internet in the area of the military unit and altered public transport routes so that local residents would not learn about the incident.

The 748th Separate Operational Purpose Battalion of the Russian National Guard is stationed in this military unit. The battalion took part in the full-scale aggression against Ukraine; in particular, reports noted losses of the battalion in the battles near Kyiv (Bucha and Irpin) at the beginning of 2022.

  • On Monday, September 1, Ukrainian forces carried out a drone strike on a Russian air base in temporarily annexed Crimea, hitting two enemy Mi-8 helicopters and a vessel.
