Russia claims to shoot down drones near oil depot in Kaluga region
The Russian Defense Ministry on Sunday morning, April 28, claimed to have intercepted 17 drones across four regions of Russia the previous night. According to the ministry, one UAV reportedly fell near an oil depot in the Kaluga region

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported the information.
As per the Russian agency's announcement, “the Kyiv regime's” alleged attempt to conduct a series of “terrorist attacks” using UAVs against Russian territory was thwarted.
Reportedly, air defense systems destroyed and intercepted 17 Ukrainian UAVs, with 9 being over Bryansk, 3 over Kursk, 2 over Belgorod, and 3 over the Kaluga region.
Vladislav Shapsha, the head of the Kaluga region, stated that 3 drones purportedly fell near the oil depot in the city of Lyudinovo. He confirmed that there were no casualties or damage and that verification measures are underway.
- On the night of Saturday, April 27, Ukrainian drones targeted the Krasnodar region of Russia, attacking the Slavyansk ECO oil refinery near Slavyansk-on-Kuban, the Ilsky Refinery, and the Kushchevsk military airfield. The Slavyansk refinery ceased operations.
