Russia's Ministry of Defense reported the information.

According to the ministry's report, 110 drones attacked Russia: 16 drones were allegedly destroyed over Tula region, 14 each over Bryansk and Kaluga regions, 13 each over Moscow and Tver regions. Ten drones were shot down over Belgorod and Kursk regions, eight over Oryol region, and two over Smolensk. One drone was reportedly destroyed over Lipetsk, Nizhny Novgorod, and Novgorod regions.

Migalovo airfield attack

Governor Igor Rudenya confirmed the attack on the Migalovo area, where the 196th Military Transport Aviation Regiment is stationed. Rudenya stated that "there was no damage to residential buildings and no casualties."

Meanwhile, videos appeared online showing thick black smoke rising from the area and the work of air defense systems.

The VChK-OGPU channel reported the evacuation of aircraft. According to public data, the "224 summer squads," a subsidiary of the Ministry of Defense, is also based in Migalovo. In 2023, it, along with 41 aircraft, was sanctioned by the U.S. for transporting personnel and equipment for the Wagner PMC. This squad is also on the EU and UK blacklists.

Damage in Tula

In Tula, drone debris fell into the yard of a five-story residential building, damaging the windows of three nearby apartment buildings, according to Governor Dmitry Milyayev. Residents of the affected buildings were relocated to a hotel. Several private houses were also damaged. In Yepifan, Kimovsky district, a drone reportedly hit the Nikolsky Cathedral, causing the dome to burn. Debris from the drone also partially damaged the windows of nearby residential buildings. According to Milyayev, no one was injured.

Belgorod region

In the Valuisky district of Belgorod region, 14 settlements were left without electricity late on May 24. Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov stated that there was an "emergency power outage," but did not clarify the cause. Earlier, he reported a drone attack on the Valuisky district, which damaged a "communications infrastructure facility."

Aviation restrictions

In Moscow airports, flight restrictions were imposed several times due to drone attacks. The Kaluga airport also temporarily suspended both incoming and outgoing flights.

  • On the night of Saturday, May 24, Russia reported a massive UAV strike. Online reports suggest that drones attacked the Energia plant in the city of Yelets, Lipetsk region, as well as the Azot chemical plant in Tula region.
