What underwater weapons may Ukraine receive from Sweden?
Military expert and editor-in-chief of Defence Express Oleh Katkov believes that Ukraine will get torpedoes from Sweden that can hit ships and submarines at a depth of up to 300 metres
He said this on the Espreso TV channel.
"The Swedish government is providing Ukraine with the 15th military aid package worth over USD 800 million. The list includes an extremely interesting weapon that is already being sent to Ukraine from the stockpile, and it is called 'underwater weapons'. What exactly is meant is not specifically stated. But there are only two options that fall under this parameter when it comes to underwater weapons. The first is mines, of course, and the second is torpedoes," Katkov explained.
According to the military expert, the Swedish company Saab produces small-sized torpedoes.
"This torpedo weighs about 330 kg and has a range of 20 km. It is equipped with passive and active sensors that allow it to hit ships and submarines at a depth of 300 metres. No specialised torpedo launchers are required to launch it. The addition of such small-sized torpedoes to maritime drones turns them into a good long-range weapon to hunt ships and submarines. It is the Russian submarines that are a very difficult target," Katkov said.

- British intelligence believes that the destruction of the Russian large amphibious assault ship Caesar Kunikov will limit Russia's resources in the Black Sea and affect the logistics of transportation.
