Claiming Ukraine’s “retreat” from Robotyne, Krynky is misleading – Ukrainian Volunteer Army’s South detachment
Serhiy Bratchuk, spokesman for the Ukrainian Volunteer Army’s South detachment, noted that Robotyne and Krynky are settlements that, unfortunately, exist only on the map today. However, Ukrainian defenders are actively fighting and resisting there, preventing any forward movement by Russia
He spoke about this on Espreso TV.
"When someone without status or with status says that Ukraine has surrendered this or that territory, let's think about our brothers who are there, even if it is a few houses or one position, but they are fighting and resisting the enemy. If we talk about Robotyne and Krynky today, it is clear that these settlements, unfortunately, exist only on the map. Robotyne is now a gray zone, the enemy has established itself in the southern part on the outskirts of Robotyne, where there used to be a secondary school. There is no progress,” commented Bratchuk.
According to him, artillery is working both on Ukraine and Russia’s sides, but to say that Ukraine has retreated from Robotyne is misleading at the very least.
"As for the ‘surrender’ of Krynky, that our troops are not there, who is striking the enemy on the left bank, who is destroying enemy assault groups, equipment, who is being destroyed by our drones and artillery, which are working extremely effectively on the left bank? Let's ask the enemy how many guns they have lost these days. Every day they lose cannon artillery and manpower. The situation is difficult in Robotyne and Krynky, but the decision to withdraw our units to a particular position is made by the command,” emphasized the spokesman.
Bratchuk noted that since last fall, Ukrainian marines have been holding back the numerous Russian Dnepr group on the left bank with their lives and health. This group is the largest among the occupying Russian troops. Therefore, it is misleading, to put it mildly, to make certain statements, especially in relation to those soldiers who are about to engage in combat.
