Chinese recon satellites over Lviv during Russian strike are “no coincidence” — Ukrainian general

General Ihor Romanenko, founder of the charitable foundation Safe Skies Over Ukraine and former Deputy Chief of Ukraine’s General Staff (2006–2010), shared his opinions on Espreso TV.

“Undoubtedly, the Russians refer to the fact that the Americans continue to provide Ukraine with intelligence useful for striking targets deep inside Russia, so they turn to their ally China for information. Accordingly, the presence of Chinese reconnaissance satellites over Lviv during the attack is no coincidence; it’s a deliberate move by China to support the war launched and waged by Russia,” the general commented.

According to him, there is also information that China supplies Russia with about 75% of the components used in drone production.

“In my view, these are deliberate actions by China, which, unfortunately, pursues a double policy. On the one hand, it showcases peacekeeping efforts worldwide, and on the other, it helps the Russians circumvent sanctions and provides them with components,” Romanenko noted.

• On October 5, it was reported that during Russia’s massive missile and drone strike, at least three alleged Chinese reconnaissance satellites made nine passes over Lviv.
