China says it appreciates Hungary's 'mediation efforts' on Ukraine and Russia
The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the state appreciates Hungary's "mediation efforts" regarding Russia's war against Ukraine. Beijing also expressed readiness to cooperate with Budapest in seeking a political resolution to the war

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian made this statement at a briefing, as reported by Ukrinform.
The spokesman commented on the recent conversation between the Chinese and Hungarian foreign ministers, Wang Yi and Péter Szijjártó.
"China appreciates Hungary's 'constructive mediation efforts' to achieve peace for Ukraine," Lin said.
At the same time, he emphasized that China is prepared to collaborate with Hungary to achieve a political resolution to the war in Ukraine.
"China stands ready to work with Hungary to engage more countries in promoting peace talks and steering the situation in the Russian-Ukrainian war towards a political settlement," the spokesman added.
