China calls on Ukraine, Russia to "restart direct talks"
China believes the international community should help create conditions for "direct talks" between Kyiv and Moscow

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian said this during a briefing, according to Ukrinform.
Beijing believes that the war in Ukraine can only be ended through dialogue.
"The international community should help create the right conditions for direct negotiations between both sides," Lin said.
He also added that the "Ukrainian crisis" can be resolved when global powers show "positive energy."
"Only when all major powers show positive energy can we hope for a quick ceasefire," he said.
