The UK Defense Ministry reports.
The Ukrainian strike on the Marinovka air base in Russia’s Volgograd region on August 22, 2024, caused significant destruction to critical infrastructure and equipment, British intelligence stated.
The Ukrainian attack resulted in the following damages at the Russian airbase:
- 4 aircraft shelters – completely destroyed;
- 3 aircraft shelters – heavily damaged;
- Radar station – destroyed;
- Auxiliary buildings and open warehouses – destroyed.

On the night of August 22, Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) and Special Operations Forces (SSO) hit Russia's Marinovka air base. Satellite images of the aftermath were later posted online.
