Vadim Denisenko, commander of Belarus’s special operations forces, announced this, according to the Russian state propaganda outlet RIA Novosti.
According to Denisenko, the decision aims to reinforce the country’s southern border.
“A decision was made to strengthen specifically the southern section. As of today, it is, so to speak, the most restless direction — one that keeps us all on alert,” he said.
