Putin's Valdai residence fortified with 12 air defense positions

Radio Svoboda’s Russian service reported this, citing satellite imagery data.

The outlet says it began collecting information on the Pantsir towers around Putin’s Valdai residence at the end of 2024. As of summer 2025, there are known to be 12 air defense positions in Valdai.

“Twelve towers with Pantsirs around Putin’s residence is only five times fewer than the number of air defense positions that Radio Svoboda, with the help of OSINT enthusiasts, has identified since 2022 in Moscow and the Moscow region, which has a population of over 20 million people,” the report says.
