Another Russian ship Ivan Khurs likely damaged during Sevastopol attack – Ukrainian Navy
Following Ukraine's assault on the Black Sea Fleet facilities in Sevastopol, another Russian reconnaissance vessel, "Ivan Khurs," may have sustained damage
Dmytro Pletenchuk, a spokesperson for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, made this statement on Radio Svoboda.
He mentioned that information regarding the damage to the Russian ship is currently being verified.
"We suspect that 'Ivan Khurs' likely suffered damage as well. Once we gather information from various sources and confirm it, we can treat it as a fact," Pletenchuk noted.
According to the Crimean Wind Telegram channel, the Russian reconnaissance ship "Ivan Khurs" was reportedly hit by two missiles simultaneously.
This information is also supported by sources from the Russian publication ASTRA.
"According to ASTRA sources, 'Ivan Khurs' was struck by two rockets at Rudneva Street. No casualties have been reported," Russian media reports.
- On the evening of March 23, the Russians claimed that air defense operations were conducted in the temporarily occupied Crimea. The defense forces targeted the large amphibious ships "Yamal" and "Azov," a communications center, and several infrastructure facilities of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol. The Russians also reported damage to transport infrastructure.
- The Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine characterized the damage to the Russian Federation's damaged large amphibious ship "Yamal" as critical.
