Alternative reality as outcome of negotiations
It seems I've figured out how the negotiations will ultimately end (not this current round, but in general)
1. The negotiations will fail completely, because Ukraine and Russia do not have a common ground on their red lines.
2. Trump will announce that the negotiations were a complete success and he has triumphantly stopped the war.
3. Meanwhile, the war will continue.
“4. The American media will be forbidden to write that the war is ongoing and will be ordered to talk about the greatness of the peacekeeper.”
5. Denying peacekeeping and claiming that the war is ongoing will be criminalized in the United States.
6. Trump's supporters will praise him, while his opponents will remain silent, even though they know the truth from European and Canadian news.
7. The US will lift sanctions against Russia.
“8. The United States will willingly sell weapons to Europe for Ukraine and even secretly supply us with some information.”
This will satisfy everyone to the maximum extent possible: Trump will receive the laurels of the greatest peacemaker among his supporters (he doesn't care about his opponents), while neither Ukraine nor Russia will concede any of their incompatible red lines, and the American military-industrial complex will continue to receive orders. The topic of Ukraine will disappear from the American media (because they will say that the war is over), and at the same time, there will be no Afghanistan-like catastrophe that cannot be silenced.
After all, in the post-truth world, a war that has disappeared from the screens and headlines is considered over, regardless of what happens on the battlefield. And in general, war is peace, and truth is a lie (I think you remember the source).
What do you think, is this a possible scenario?
