
Ukraine's Air Defense Forces intercept 167 of 194 Russian aerial targets overnight
Overnight on Saturday, June 15, Russia launched another wave of drone and missile attacks against Ukraine. Air defense successfully intercepted 167 enemy targets
Ukraine's Air Force reported the information.
Starting at 8:00 p.m. on June 14, Russia launched a total of 194 aerial attack assets against Ukraine, including:
- 183 Shahed strike drones and simulator UAVs of various types, launched from Kursk, Shatalovo, Oryol, Bryansk, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in the Russian Federation;
- Two Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles from the airspace over the Astrakhan region;
- One Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missile from the Kursk region;
- Four Iskander-K cruise missiles from the Rostov region;
- Four Kalibr cruise missiles from the Black Sea.
The main target of the attack that night was the Poltava region, specifically the city of Kremenchuk.
The aerial assault was countered by Ukrainian aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare teams, drone defense units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data as of 09:00 a.m., air defense forces neutralized 167 Russian air attack assets, including 119 shot down with weapons and 48 lost through disorientation or electronic suppression:
- 111 enemy drones were destroyed by direct fire, and 48 were lost due to jamming or other electronic warfare measures;
- Two Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles;
- Three Iskander-K cruise missiles;
- Three Kalibr cruise missiles.
On the evening of Saturday, June 14, the Russian army launched strike drones and missiles at Ukraine, with the consequences of the attack being recorded in the Poltava region.
