
Russian forces pound Ukraine with drones and missiles, targeting Poltava region
On the evening of Saturday, June 14, the Russian army launched strike drones and missiles at Ukraine, with the consequences of the attack being recorded in the Poltava region
In the morning, the head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, Volodymyr Kohut, said that Russian forces launched a massive combined attack on the region overnight, using missiles and UAVs. Most enemy targets were shot down by air defense systems.
At the same time, energy and agricultural infrastructure was hit in the Kremenchuk community. A private house, a car, and a power line were also damaged. Fires broke out due to direct hits and falling debris, but they have already been contained.
In the Chutivka community, falling drone debris damaged homes and cars.
Fortunately, there were no casualties in any of the cases.
Poltava Regional Council deputy Ihor Protsay added that explosions were heard not only in Kremenchuk, but also in Poltava.
"Very loud and very long. It started at 11 p.m. and went on until 3 a.m. Air defense was working, trying to shoot down as many aerial targets as possible. In Kremenchuk, the whole city was awake, the power kept going out. Emergency services were working on the ground," the deputy told Espreso.
