Russia will have fewer opportunities to strike at Ukraine after defeat of 'Crimean Triangle'
Spokesman for the Ukrainian Volunteer Army South Serhii Bratchuk says that the demilitarization of the temporarily occupied Crimea continues
He said this on the Espreso TV channel.
"Today, the 'Crimean Triangle' is emerging. If we start from the north, it is Dzhankoi, then Yevpatoria, Sevastopol and Feodosia in the east. We are talking about anti-aircraft missile, air defence and radio engineering. A defeat in this "triangle" results in the enemy losing eyes and ears. As a result, Russia will have fewer opportunities to strike at the territory of Ukraine. The demilitarisation work is not only about destroying anti-aircraft missile systems, but also technical facilities such as communication, troop control, and radio systems, i.e. radar. This is what allows the enemy to work against our troops and our resources. Such attacks will continue. After all, if there is no command and control and no communication, the units become 'blind'" Bratchuk said.
According to him, the Russian Federation is trying to reduce the economic and industrial potential, which is the defence resource of our country, so the demilitarisation of Russian air defence systems is important.
"We continue to demilitarise the temporarily occupied Crimea and the air defence systems, which were a solid umbrella over the temporarily occupied peninsula. It allowed the enemy to protect its facilities, logistics management and transport logistics systems from our strikes. This allowed the enemy to work to destroy not only the south, but also other territories of our country when it comes to the use of anti-aircraft missile systems. It's no secret that the Russian air defence system often operates on the ground-to-ground principle, and now it does as well. That is, these missiles are not designed to destroy air targets, but to strike at our civilian and critical infrastructure," Bratchuk concluded.
- On the night of May 24, explosions occurred in various cities of the temporarily occupied Crimea. The guerrillas reported the destruction of Russian communication centre in Alushta.
