U.S. permission to strike Russian territory changes situation in Kharkiv, Donetsk regions — Achilles brigade
Oles Malyarevych, deputy commander of the "Achilles" strike UAVs battalion, part of the 92nd Detached Assault Brigade, discussed the improved situation in the Kharkiv region
He shared this on Espreso TV.
"The situation is tense but under control. The enemy is trying to advance in both Vovchansk and Lyptsi. We're working closer to Lyptsi, while only some of our units are involved in Vovchansk. They try to advance and take these lines, but they fail. Our defensive line holds, and we always take tactical counter-offensive actions to reclaim or seize positions," Malyarevych said.
He emphasized that Russia has accumulated a lot of forces in this area: "They retreat to Russia to recover."
Malyarevych also stressed the importance of the USA's decision to strike Russian territory with American weapons.
"Right now, it's a bit better; we can use HIMARS on Russian territory for military purposes. We need to suppress their support, including S-300 and S-400 launchers, and all their supply chains. They're moving towards the border unbothered, crossing it, and we couldn't act quickly, but now we can. In Donbas, we knew their first, second, and third lines of support were active. Here, it's just the first line, so we will strike the second and the third," Malyarevych concluded.
