92 combat engagements take place in frontline, Russia attacks Pokrovsk sector most - General Staff

The report of the General Staff on July 10 confirms this.

The situation on the contact line remains tense but under control. Ukrainian defenders continue to actively counter the Russian aggressor, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment.

The border settlements of Sumy and Chernihiv regions continue to suffer from cynical shelling from the territory of the Russian Federation. The shelling of the populated areas by artillery and multiple rocket launchers affected the areas of Dmytrivka, Bachivsk, Velyka Pysarivka, Sydorivka, Turya, Osoyivka and Senkivka.

At the same time, the Kharkiv region is under Russian bombardment. Today, Russian terrorists launched nine air strikes from the Russian cities of Belgorod and Shebekino, dropping 15 glide bombs. They targeted the areas of Ukrainian settlements Lyptsi, Vovchansk, Hlyboke and Mali Prokhody.

Frontline situation

In addition, in the Kharkiv sector, Russian troops unsuccessfully attacked the defensive lines of Ukrainian units near Vovchansk and Hlyboke three times.

In the Kupyansk sector, the enemy also tried to storm the positions of Ukrainian troops near Berestove three times. Ukrainian defenders repelled all attacks.

In the Lyman sector, the invading Russian army carried out 10 attacks near Makiivka, Hrekivka and Nevske. Seven engagements ended without success for the enemy, three more are ongoing. The situation is under control.

Russian enemy has become more active in the Siversky sector in the areas of Bilohorivka, Spirne, Verkhniokamianske, Vyymka and Rozdolivka. The Ukrainian defense forces are steadily holding back Russian  enemy. Nine Russian attacks have been repelled so far, and two more are ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian invaders made four assaults on the positions of Ukrainian troops near Hryhorivka, Ivanivske and Chasiv Yar. Two battles were completed, two more are ongoing.

In the Toretsk sector, 15 enemy attacks took place near Pivnichne, Toretsk and New York. Ukrainian defenders repelled 14 Russian attacks, and one more combat engagement is ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk sector, since the beginning of the day, Russian occupants have made the largest number of attempts to push Ukrainian defenders from their positions in the areas of Vozdvyzhenka, Novooleksandrivka, Kalynove, Yevhenivka, Novoselivka Persha, Karlivka, Progress and Yurivka. Ukrainian defense forces are holding back the enemy's attack and have repelled 19 attacks, with 12 battles still ongoing. The enemy's losses are being clarified.

Two battles continue in the Kurakhove sector, near Nevelske and Krasnohorivka. Ukrainian defenders repelled four more Russian attacks in the area of Dalne, Kostiantynivka and Paraskoviivka.

In the Vremivka sector, Ukrainian troops repelled three Russian assaults near Urozhayne and Makarivka. At the moment, fighting is ongoing in the area of Vodiane.

In the Huliaypole sector, Russian occupants failed near the village of Huliaypole.

In the Orikhiv sector, Russian invaders attacked Ukrainian troops' positions twice. One attack was unsuccessful in the vicinity of Robotyne, and another is ongoing near Mala Tokmachka.

In the Prydniprovskyi sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled two enemy attacks in the vicinity of Krynky. Ukrainian positions were not lost.

• Over the last day on the Russian-Ukrainian front, the Ukrainian Defense Forces managed to neutralize 1,100 Russian servicemen and burn dozens of Russian vehicles.
