92 clashes occur at front on Oct.28: Russia most active in Kurakhove sector - Ukraine's General Staff

"The invaders continue to make the main efforts in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove directions, where they conducted more than half of all attacks on the territory of Ukraine. In addition, they are active in the Lyman, Kupyansk, and Vremivka directions," the statement said.

The border areas of the Sumy and Chernihiv regions continue to suffer from Russian air strikes. In particular, the terrorists hit the areas of Bilovody, Yunakivka, Zhuravka, and Basivka with guided aerial bombs. Basivka, Obody, Oleksandrivka, Bilokopytove, Boyar-Lezhachi, Prohres, and Medvedivka were shelled by the terrorist army today. Terrorists fired from multiple rocket launchers at Starykove, Yablunivka, and Zarichchya.

The Russian forces also carried out 14 air strikes, using 22 guided bombs in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation.

Frontline situation

In the Kharkiv sector, Russia stormed the positions of Ukrainian troops near Vovchansk. The situation is under control. The enemy also attacked Kharkiv with aerial bombs and Milove with unguided aerial missiles.

Russian enemy attacked our Ukrainian positions in the Kupyansk sector at least 7 times. Ukrainian defenders are repelling enemy assaults near Kolisnykivka, Sinkivka, Kruhlyakivka, Pershotravneve and Lozova. Fighting continues in six locations. Russian army is actively using bomber aircraft in the sector, having already dropped 12 bombs today.

In the Lyman sector, Russian units attacked in the areas of Hrekivka, Zarichne, Terny and Torske. Ukrainian troops have repelled five attacks since the beginning of the day, and three engagements are ongoing.

In the Siversk sector, Russian enemy launched five air strikes on Siversk and the area around Starodubivka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian invaders carried out two assault operations near Chasiv Yar and Stupochky. Russia’s attack is currently underway. The Russian aircraft struck Chasiv Yar, Stinky and Oleksandr-Shultyno, using aerial bombs and unguided aerial missiles.

In the Toretsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled an enemy attack near Toretsk.

In the Pokrovsk sector, since the beginning of the day, Russian forces have made 21 attempts to push Ukrainian defenders from their positions in the areas of Myroliubivka, Promen, Lysivka, Krutyi Yar, Selydove, and Vyshneve. The Defence Forces, holding back the enemy's onslaught, have already repelled a total of 17 enemy attacks in the area, and others are continuing. The enemy is suffering significant losses in manpower.

In the Kurakhivka sector, Russian invaders attacked Ukrainian troops 29 times, trying to advance in the areas of Zoryane, Maksymilianivka, Novodmitrivka, Katerynivka, and Antonivka. Currently, 19 firefights are ongoing.

In the Vremivka sector, Russian invaders conducted eight attacks on Ukrainian troops' positions near Bohoyavlenka and Novoukrainka. Two firefights are ongoing.

In the Orikhiv sector, Russian enemy is using bomber aircraft to attack the area of Mala Tokmachka, dropping 16 bombs.

In the Prydniprovsky sector, Russian enemy made one unsuccessful attempt to storm the positions of Ukrainian troops. It struck Mykolaivka with unguided aerial missiles.
