Ukraine reports 80 battles on front: Russian troops most active in Kursk sector

Since the beginning of the day on March 6, 80 battles have taken place along the Russian-Ukrainian front. The Russian army has been most active in the Kursk region, where the Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled 16 attacks

This is reported in the General Staff's summary. 

Border settlements of Popivka, Kucheryvka, Yasna Polyana, and Ponomarenky in Sumy region were affected by enemy shelling today. Additionally, the settlement of Hremyach in Chernihiv region was hit by an airstrike using unguided rockets.

Situation on key fronts:

On the Kharkiv front, Ukrainian forces repelled two attacks near Vovchansk.  

On the Kupiansk front, the Russian troops carried out two assault actions near Zahrizove but was repelled.  

On the Lyman front, Russia launched eight attacks near Nevske and in the direction of Hryhorivka. Three battles are still ongoing.  

On the Kramatorsk front, Ukrainian defenders repelled five attempts by the Russian army to advance near Chasiv Yar, and three battles have already concluded. Russia carried out an airstrike on Kramatorsk.  

On the Toretsk front, the Russian forces attacked 18 times near Diliivka, Krymske, Ozaryanivka, and Toretsk. Four battles are still ongoing.  

On the Pokrovsk front, The Russian soldiers made 12 attempts to push Ukrainian defenders from their positions in the areas of Promin, Nadiivka, and Andriivka. The Defense Forces repelled 11 attacks, and one battle is still ongoing. The Russians carried out airstrikes with guided bombs on Sukhy Yar.  

On the Novopavlivsk front, Ukrainian forces repelled four Russian attacks near Konstantynopol.  

On the Hulyaipil front, the Defense Forces repelled three attempts by the Russian army to advance near Pryvilne and Novosilka. Additionally, the Russian aviation carried out airstrikes with KAB bombs on Hulyaipole, Temyrivka, Zaliznychnyi, and Zeleni Pol. Furthermore, the Russians carried out a strike with NARs on Novopil.  

On the Orikhiv front, Ukrainian forces are currently repelling four Russian assaults. Overall, today, Russia has actively attacked Ukrainian positions seven times in the areas of Mala Tokmachka, Nesterianka, and Piatykhatky. The Russian forces also carried out airstrikes on Stepove, Piatykhatky, and Plavni.  

On the Siversky and Prydniprovsky fronts, the Russian forces did not conduct any offensive actions.  

In the Kursk region, Ukrainian defenders repelled 16 attacks by Russian forces, with 11 battles still ongoing. Since the beginning of the day, Russia has carried out 18 airstrikes, dropping 23 KAB bombs on Ukrainian military positions and settlements, and carried out 261 artillery shellings.  

There have been no significant changes in the situation on other fronts, according to the General Staff.
